How Long Have You Performed Vow Renewals?

We have been beach wedding planners and marriage officiants for vow renewals since 2005 and are a small, family-owned and operated San Diego small business. We are grateful for the opportunity to live in San Diego, serving so many lovely couples. We are local San Diegans with valuable "locals" knowledge. We live and work in the beach area and are very familiar with the ebb and flow of the general public at various times of the year at our coastal, cliffside and park locations, as well as the many rules and regulations that govern an outdoor wedding or vow renewal ceremony. Don't risk your special day to an out of town company! Our couples never have to worry about their photographer not showing up, a wilted bridal bouquet or an unexpected or embarrassing moment when the Ranger asks for your permit, and you don't have one because the company you hired said you didn't need one. When you enlist us to help with your renewal of wedding vows at the beach in San Diego, you can be assured you are being cared for by experienced wedding planners who will always be there for you!

Do We Need to Get a New Marriage License?

No. A wedding vow renewal ceremony is a symbolic ceremony of the heart, so no legal paperwork is required.

How Many Guests Can Attend My Vow Renewal?

Our renewal of wedding vows packages can accommodate up to 20, 40 or 60 guests. Simple Elopement Style packages are designed for just the couple and small groups of up to 20 guests in a more casual, standing room atmosphere with officiant, photography and flowers. Our Full-Service Wedding Vow Renewal packages can accommodate up to 20, 40 or 60 guests and includes photography, white padded wedding chairs, decorations, choice of arch, flowers, officiant, music, parasols, coordination and required permits.

Can Our Vow Renewal Be Like a Real Wedding?

That format of your San Diego renewal of wedding vows is completely up to you! Some couples prefer a traditional vow renewal to recognize a marital challenge, milestone or anniversary, and may opt to walk down the aisle together and exchange vows to renew their commitment to each other. Other couples may want more of a "do-over" for the wedding they never had, and prefer a ceremony with all the traditional wedding elements with chairs, arch, music and a formal walk down the aisle. We have packages that are a good fit for any approach. Once we reserve your vow renewal ceremony in San Diego, we will gather more information to custom design a romantic beachy wedding vow renewal ceremony, just for you!

What Is Said During the Vow Renewal?

We offer our couples the unique option of choosing the ceremony that they would like their Officiant to perform. Our Ceremony & Vows Library includes a number of romantic wedding and vow renewal ceremonies and heartfelt vows to choose from. Our officiants are comfortable in both religious and non-religious settings and couples are always welcome to add readings, personal words or poems... you can even write your own vows!

Do You Perform Vow Renewals for Gay Marriage?

We are 100% gay friendly! As proud supporters of the LGBTQ community, we welcome all couples who wish to renew their wedding vows in San Diego, California. We understand the unique wedding planning needs of gay couples, and are honored to facilitate lesbian and gay weddings and vow renewals.

What Time Is Sunset?

Sunset varies and is dependent on the date and time of year. Just ask us and we will provide you with the best time for the ceremony to maximize the opportunity to capture that "golden hour" sunset lighting in your photos.

Is There Parking at the Beach Locations?

Yes. There is parking at all the San Diego beach wedding venues that we serve. However, the coastal areas can be busy, especially on the weekends, and parking can be a challenge. Group transportation, a car service or a limo, is always a good choice if you have the budget, Uber or Lyft are also convenient 21st century options to get you to and from the wedding site and will help keep things running smoothly and stress-free.

Are There Restrooms at the Vow Renewal Sites?

Yes, there are public restrooms at some of the beach, park and cliffside locations, however they may be a long walk or even a drive from the ceremony site. If restrooms are an important requirement, just ask us for info on which locations have restrooms, so you can inform your guests, for their convenience.

Is Smoking or Alcohol Allowed at the Locations?

No. Both alcohol and smoking are prohibited at the beach, park and cliffside locations. Alcohol is never allowed in the public areas, however smoking is allowed in the parking lots and on the streets for most venues.

What If Rain Is Predicted On Our Renewal Day?

San Diego's weather is pretty awesome all year long but during our rainy season (Nov - April) there will be an increased chance of precipitation. We are not able to set up our equipment in the rain, and our photographers are not able to shoot in the rain, even if it is just sprinkling. Since we are a small, family-owned company and only do one wedding per day, we are able to be flexible and can accommodate a change in plans if Mother Nature is feeling moody and we are not able to hold the vow renewal at the beach, park or cliffside as planned. We offer a reschedule option, a covered outdoor location, or an indoor location option in case of rain.
